This week we celebrate the Transfiguration of Jesus before his three disciples. In Exodus 24, Moses, the people of Israel and their representatives all witnessed the glorious appearance of God in a way that surprised them with his gracious power and presence that sought to be with them and commune with them. They were now the people of God in a way that demonstrated God’s merciful love and pointed to the greater glory of Jesus on the cross. Tune your ears to the glory of such a Savior, and leave all other voices in the dust. Sermon on Exodus 24:9-18.
