A beam, a drink refused, the lots cast for his clothes and the mocking shouts from all parties around him…as so much happens to Jesus, we still get to learn of the particular strength he is bringing us by his weakness. Look to him when you suffer and fall, look to him for warm grace to minister to your own sinful mockery. He suffers and stays silent just for you.
