Thinking about our Epiphany “Rise and Shine, Lord Jesus” theme in our worship services, I enjoyed a morning read of Isaiah 19:19-25. Take a look and you’ll see how crazy it must’ve been to imagine people worshiping the Lord not just from Israel/Judah, but Egypt and Assyria – who had been perennial neighboring enemies!
But that is the power and light of God’s Word in this prophecy of the New Testament era under Christ – that enemies are made into kingdom allies and fellow members of the body of Christ. You never know whom the Lord might bring into his kingdom…just share your life and faith with others and see what happens.
